Has anyone any experience with this type of material in a multi?

Certainly do look nice.

My opinion is they are a toy. I simply cannot see them sounding better than set of tar filleds, at way more bucks.

There is some guy on the net claiming wood is better than metal because wood is the closest thing in density to flesh and bone. Where his argument fails is flesh and bone have radically different densities, and so do woods. Balsa and oak are nothing alike.

The whole thing smells of snake oil. But as you said, purty to look at.
